PVFCCo provides training on occupational health and safety for employees at workplace

On March 22, 2017 at PVFCCo headquarter, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) opened the training course on Occupational health and safety for employees at workplace (group 4) in accordance with the Decree No. 44/2016/ND-CP detailing some articles of the Law on Occupational safety and health. Attendees of the opening ceremony, on the part of Institute of Human Resources Training and International Cooperation included Mr. Nguyen Doan Tuan - Director; Lecturer Huynh Minh Thien, who directly made presentation at training course; on the part of PVFCCo included Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet - PVFCCo’s Vice President.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Van Quoc Viet affirmed that occupational safety and health in production and trading activities was one of the most important elements. Serious incidents causing occupational unsafety in production and trading could result in catastrophic consequences to both human life and property. For this reason, PVFCCo paid great attention to holding training sessions on occupational safety and health for employees at workplace. “Through this training course, I hope that PVFCCo employees will take seriously the course to catch up on basic knowledge in preventing and dealing with problems.”

Through the training content, the lecturer Huynh Minh Thien helped participants to grasp the basic knowledge in terms of occupational safety and health; dangerous and harmful factors at workplace; methods of improving working conditions and safety culture in production and business; rights and obligations of employers and employees; policies and regimes on occupational safety and health for employees; regulations on occupational safety and health and the use of safety equipment, personal protective equipment; identifying dangerous, harmful elements; rules, warning signs, signboards at workplace; safe practice of work procedures; troubleshooting procedures related to assigned tasks and work; emergency exit procedures, etc.

The training course took place within 2 days from March 22 to 23, 2017. At the end of training, the participants attended the test and were granted the certificate of completion of training course on occupational safety and health.
